Langtang Region is known for its accessibility and short but adventurous trekking experience. Being close to the capital city Kathmandu, it is the choice for many tourists who want to get the most adventure in a short time. Protected as Langtang National Park, this area touches the Tibetan border in the north and east. It holds a number of peaks such as Langtang Lirung (7227m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Dragmarpo Ri (6578m) and Yala Peak (5520m). The national park covers an area of 1710 square kilometers in Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Sindhupalchok districts to the north of Kathmandu. The altitude varies from 800 meters to 7227 meters and so does the climate. This region is rich in biodiversity with 18 ecosystem types, 14 vegetation types, more than 1000 species of flowering plants, 150 species of birds and wild animals like snow leopards, musk deer, ghoral, langur, Himalayan black bear and red panda. It is an important transit route for the migratory birds.
Gosaikunda Lake is a famous religious site in the Langtang region for Buddhists and Hindus. It remains frozen for six months in a year. There are many other smaller lakes in the area. Laurebina Pass at 4610 meters is a pass near the Gosaikunda Lake which is very challenging to cross. There are several monasteries one of which is Kyanjin Gompa, popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims. The primary residents of this region are Sherpas, Tamangs, Gurungs and other castes of Tibetan origin.Langtang valley trekking, Gosainkunda trekking, Tamang heritage trekking, Helambu trekking and Gonja La Pass trekking are the standard trekking packages that we offer in this region. Langtang valley Trekking
The Langtang valley trek is relatively easy trek as well as short trekking. The people living in this region are with good hospitability so, this region are attracted for trekking and the inhabitants of this region is mainly from the Tibetan tribes. In this 10 days trip you will get to explore the rich culture as well as nature beauty of the Langtang region. This trek also includes ascending to Kyanjin Ri where one will get the amazing view of the Langtang range with other several peaks. We will be also trekking to the Langtang national park where you will get to observe varied flora and fauna of the Langtang region. You will be also visiting the cheese factory where you will get to taste the local Yak cheese which is famous all over in Nepal country. This Helambu trekking is short trekking which is only an 8 days trip and it is close to the Kathmandu valley and even being close to Kathmandu, this region is unspoiled. This easy and short trekking is perfectly fit for those people who have only a few vacations to explore the Himalaya country so, this trek bids you with the scenic nature beauty as well as culture. The main inhabitants of this region are Yolmo tribes and Sherpa communities. This trek rewards with spectacular mount Langtang Lirung at 7245m, Mt. Dorje Lakpa 6966m, Mt. Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Langshisa Ri, Gangchenpo, Yala peak 5500m, Naya kanga 5846m, range of Annapurna along with other several snowcapped peaks. The highest point we will be reaching at the maximum altitude of 3650 meter/ 11972 feet.
This trekking Gosaikunda is one of the sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus where there is a sacred lake called Gosaikunda lake where the Hindu devotees come to take a dip into this lake which is said that taking a deep into this lake will purify all sins and pains. Along with the Hindu devotees Buddhist devotees also come to visit this lake. The itinerary of this trip is 15 days trip where you will be rewarded with range of langtang, mount dorjee lakpa, Ganesh Himal, mount Manaslu and other several snowcapped peaks can be seen during the trek. During the trek you will be passing via national flower of Nepal –Rhododendron. The maximum altitude off this trek we will be reaching is 4380 meter which is Gosaikunda Lake.
Ganja La Pass Trekking
This trekking is one of the renowned trekking in the Langtang region. In this trekking you will be crossing the arduous pass of the Himalaya which is Ganja La pass which is at the altitude of 5122 meter. In this trek you will be get to view the Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorjee Lakpa, Yala peak, Gaurishanker, Naya Kanga peak, range of Annapurna and other numerous snowcapped peaks. This trip is a14 day’s trip and during the trek you will be crossing several stupa and mani wall with Buddhist prayer flags flattering in winds where you will feel peace while trekking and while trekking you will be accompanied by numerous peaks of the Langtang region. Tamang Heritage Trekking
This trekking trail is newly trekking trails which is a 10 days trip where you will get the glimpse of nature as well as culture of Himalayas. The main highlight of this trek is viewing the splendid view of the mountain such as Langtang Lirung , Ganesh Himal along with other several peaks off the Langtang region. The main inhabitants of this region are from the Tibet country whom is keyrong and they migrated to Nepal and change their citizen and kept it as Tamang so, during the trek you will also get to explore their unique culture. In this trek you will be also enjoying natural hot spring water in Tadopani. The highest point of this trek we will be reaching is at the altitude of 3870 meter.
