Lower Dolpo Trekking bids you one of the outstanding trekking experience in the remote western region of Nepal. For trekkers, it was opened only from 1982. Lower Dolpo trekking has an exciting feature and that is - the path goes through the three high passes – Kagmara La (5115 meters, Baga La (5090 meters) and Numa La (5360 meters).
This trekking trail goes by the side of the almighty Phoksundo Lake which is blue in color and one of the deepest lake of Nepal with surrounding snow peaks of Kanjiroba Himal. Here we set our tent and halt our night and enjoy with enough time to get picturesque perfect views. Also, on the trial - you get to observe one of the secluded Buddhist monastery (the traditional culture of Karnali region) and abundant rare and endangered species of wild lives like blue sheep, mountain goat, jackal, Himalayan Thar, rare monkeys, wolves and snow leopard, and varieties of plants. The other main attractions of this lower Dolpo Trek is you can see the yak caravans in the summer season where the Tibetan folks bring down the yak from the higher altitude to the lower land for grazing.
