Langtang Valley Trekking is a short and comparatively an easy trek in the Langtang Valley with stunning landscapes of two major Himalayan Series - Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. Langtang Valley Trek is in the gorge of very famed and lovely range around Langtang Himal in the central part of the country. It is also called as the valley of glaciers with diverse flora and fauna & miscellaneous culture of diverse indigenous groups.

Langtang Valley Trek also stands out as one of the popular treks in the country, especially due to the hospitality shown in this region. Langtang Lirung (7246 m) lies to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388 m), Naya Kanga Ri (5846 m) lies to the south and Dorjee Lakpa (6966 m) at the east of the valley. This trekking is best for explorers who have a short and limited vacation time but will be able to fully adore the unique culture and witness the beautiful Himalayan peaks.

Langtang Valley Trek starts and passes over the villages with terraced fields of paddy, corns, millet, etc. (depending upon the season). Slowly then - we will be moving towards over the Rhododendron forests and then on to the fields and meadows with yaks, and at last - to the alpine vegetation close to Langtang. The change in culture and religion is also on show as the landscape changes, with increasing number of monasteries and Mane walls.

On Kyanjin Gomba - the final village at the end of community - one can really relish the beauty of the Langtang Valley Trek. Because of an easy accessibility, this trek can be completed at any month in the year, however, March and April are the perfect months as the flowers blossom at this time and the forests are full of Rhododendron flowers which is something that one shouldn’t miss.

Rare wildlife such as deer, monkeys, Himalayan Thars, Himalayan Red Panda as well as migratory birds can also be observed in the trials to the Langtang valley. Trekking in Langtang region takes you alongside the Langtang Khola (river) to the Keynjing Gompa which is the ending point community of the gorge. You will also visit around Keynjing Gompa and spectacular glaciers, Tserko Ri, Kharka, etc. The Cheese industry of the Keynjing Gompa is very stimulating to stopover and is assisted by the Swiss government.

This trip commences from Sybrubesi subsequently with an extended bus ride from Kathmandu. The track goes up to the Keynjing Gompa through Langtang village and back down through the same valley to catch the drive and back to Kathmandu.
