The kingdom of the Bhutan also known as the – “land of dragon” lies at the eastern Himalayas bordered north to China and surrounded by India on other sides. This monarch kingdom has huge mountains, fertile valleys with thick dense forests. There are a total of 20 districts (Dzongkhag) in Bhutan. This land has unique cultural sites with ancient architecture with very rich traditions. The people here follow their traditions very strictly and even today, people – known to be as Dukpas, wear only their traditional dresses.

This tour will be covering some of the best places such as Paro, Thimpu, Punakha, hiking to the well-known monasteries like Taktsang and Phuentsoling. As during our flight to Paro, we will be enjoying the wonderful view of Mount Chomolhari and Jichu Drake. After landing at Paro, we will head to the hotel and then explore Paro visiting Rinpung Dzongs (translated as a fortress of the mass of jewels).
From here, we head to visit the ancient temple of Bhutan - Kichulhangkhang and head to explore Drugyal Dzong, from where we get to observe the second highest mountain i.e. Mount Chomalhari. Next day we drive to the beautiful Haa valley - where on the trails, we get to spot beautiful colorful prayer flags and explore the Haa valley.
And next day, we drive to the capital city of Bhutan – Thimpu. Here we stop over to visit the memorial stupa, zoo, museum, nunnery temple and other landmarks of Thimpu. Next day, we drive to Punakha and cross Dochu La Pass and stop over to observe the spectacular Himalayan views. Throughout our drive - we pass through diverse forests, terraced fields and then visit the Chimilhankhang temple. And next day we hike to Punakha village and relish sometime here. The following day, we retrace back to Paro visiting Drukwangyal monastery on the way. Lastly, we end our tour by hiking to the Taktsang monastery.
